Human Resources:
· Evaluation of labours, technicians and engineers during recruitment processing.
· Ensure that all site staff receives an orientation to the organization and that appropriate training is provided.
· Oversee the implementation of the human resources policies, procedures and practices including the development of job description for all site staff
· Implement a performance management process for all site staff which includes monitoring their performance on an on-going basis and conducting an annual performance review.
· Coach and mentor site staff as appropriate to improve performance.
· Discipline site staff when necessary using appropriate techniques; release site staff when necessary using appropriate and legally defensible procedures.
· Responsibility for ensuring safe project working practices adhered to for all site staff.
· Administer regular and clear lines of communication to address issues, which may arise.
Operational and Planning Management:
· Represent the business in a presentable and professional manner.
· Maintain strong relationships with the clients.
· Start and maintain detailed project operating procedures and systems, ensuring management plan is being adhered to.
· Chair regular progress meetings and report on weekly project and commercial progress.
· Ensure close out and practical completion schedules are completed.
· Manage and co-ordinate all key aspects of the project, including cost, value, risk, logistics, public relations, and safety.
· Oversee the planning, implementation, execution and evaluation of special projects
· Assist the Projects Managers to complete Projects on time and within the approved budget and work with the Engineering department
· Reviews project drawings, specifications, BOQs and other contract documents in order to prepare an accurate & comprehensive workable budget and cost control plan.
Financial Resources:
· Preparing cost trending & forecasting analysis for project costs, communicating these to all related parties, highlighting concerns and heeds, recommending necessary measures, actions and methods.
· Preparing regular monthly reports and reviews of projects cost performance, providing all concerned parties with regular feedback and advice.
· Participating in weekly meetings for reviewing project progress and current cost position.
Material Resources:
· Recommending corrective actions based on the status and summary reports to requesting management on material, machines and labor requirement of the project against agreed plans.
· Assesses and analyses all amendments to the project as a result of change orders and takes necessary actions to amend budget.
